MORE than a month after flying to Antalya, Turkey where she competed and eventually became the first Filipina to win as Miss Aura International, Alexandra Faith Garcia was excited to share her victory with her fellow Filipinos. She tested negative for COVID-19 in Antalya and Istanbul before flying back to Manila and had to undergo the mandatory 5-day quarantine.

Faith was eager to go back to her native Olongapo on her last day, but the excitement had turned into anxiety when the result went out that she had tested positive for Covid-19. “I had the ‘corona’ that no one would ever wish for,” Faith narrated.
She became so stressed and depressed that she needed to spend another 11 days in an isolation facility after her last swab. Luckily, she was asymptomatic. “I am grateful that I was perfectly fine and in good shape [and have] normal temperature, normal blood pressure and high oxygen level. Everyday, the health workers conducted a daily medical check-up,” she continued.
“With this experience, I know that a lot more people have been affected by the pandemic in many ways — a lot of struggles definitely — but this is only a challenge for us to become tougher in life, that [we learn] in every dawn there is always a new day full of positivity waiting for us. Let us be more grateful for all the little things that we receive. Let us all just spread love in these trying times.”
Faith is back and has began her reign with TV guestings and courtesy calls. At the Department of Agriculture, she was warmly welcomed by Secretary William Dar and other officials who acknowledged her advocacy “FAITH,” which stands for “Food Always In The Home.”
Faith is looking forward to more collaborations in the future. “With FAITH as one of my advocacies, I hope that I could really help in promoting an agriculture-driven economy so that we can recover much faster after this pandemic,” she said.
Faith has a thriving agri-business, aside from being a champion triathlete and model-endorser. She has also been named as IBeautified Beauty Lounge Ambassador by Princess Ramos.
Ramos, the owner of IBeautified Beauty Lounge, said their beauty clinic offers treatments and semi-permanent make-up for both men and women. IBeautified Beauty Lounge has branches in Antipolo (premier branch), Pasig (flagship) and Trece Martires.
