SAN Sebastian College lady taekwondo jin Liza Leslie Bagay last Saturday ruled the women’s featherweight division of the 96th NCAA season speed kicking competition.
Bagay scored 6.225 points to bag the gold, while College of St. Benilde’s Daezelle Eloisa Jariol (6.117) and Tanya Mosquera (5.958) took the silver and bronze, respectively.
Also competing in the division were San Beda University’s Melody Dulay and Gwindalynne Gutierrez, Lyceum’s Daniela Rosales and Emilio Aguinaldo College’s Ninfa Miziel Rosales.
The country’s oldest collegiate league pushed through with its new season with online events, with the basketball and volleyball tournaments getting cancelled.
Among the options the NCAA considered was holding its season in a bubble at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.
