Resumption of training in PSC facilities okayed

THE Philippine Sports Commission board led by Chairman Butch Ramirez has approved the resumption of training of selected national teams in January next year at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Philsports Complex in Pasig City, and Baguio Training Camp.

The agency is now evaluating viable facilities that could be used by the athletes. Ongoing coordination with the MPA-IATF in Philsports, Pasig and the Baguio City local government unit are being held to ensure that all safety measures are adopted.

Dormitories that have been damaged by rain are being repaired by the PSC Engineering team.

The board has also provisionally approved the health-safety guidelines developed by the PSI-MSAS to be implemented in all training areas, based on the PSS-GAB-DOH Joint Administrative Order No. 2020-0001.

A technical working group has been created to undertake the necessary preparations, including the finalization of sports that could be accommodated in various.

All concerned national sports associations will be directed to submit their health-safety protocols for approval of the PSC Medical Unit.

A no vaccine-no entry policy will be one of the strict requirements.
