F2 working on team chemistry

BY ABBY TORALBA

F2 is off to a fast start in its PVL Invitational Conference bid but Cargo Movers coach Regine Diego is not one to tell his belles to put their feet off the pedal.

“Siyempre we have to prepare for our next match because every match is very important for us and this break should help us na maayos iyong mga lapses naming,” Diego said.

“We have so many things to learn. We have so many things to adjust to. We have to jell more because there are new ones inside the court,” she added.

F2 rose to a 2-0 card, tied with Choco Mucho, in Pool B of the preliminaries to start the tilt.

In their opener, the Cargo Movers blasted Farm Fresh 25-22, 25-20, 25-23 last Tuesday and then overpowered Cignal 25-20, 30-28, 23-25, 25-22 three days ago.

The league is currently on a break as the country hosts the Volleyball Nations League men’s Week 3 actin at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Diego, the only woman coach in the league, said the Cargo Movers need to develop chemistry, pointing out that they have starters who are rookies.

“The leadership kailangan pa namin buohin kasi ang dami pang adjustments kasi we’re not like the other teams na buo iyong first six ever since, halos kalahati ng team namin bago iyong starters,” she said.

“I mean, I’m happy na I have a lot of options now, but we have to make sure that they jell in together, they know what to do every time.”
