WITH a full-strength line-up, F2 made short work of United Auctioneers Inc.-Army 25-17, 25-21, 25-16 yesterday for its first win in the PVL Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Coming off two straight defeats, the Cargo Movers scored a breakthrough win with import skipper Lindsay Stalzer leading the way with 24 points and 10 excellent receptions. Open spiker Kalei Mau added eight hits.
Opposite hitter Kiana Dy also delivered eight markers, middle blocker Lacsina contributed seven and five excellent digs, while libero Dawn Macandili, who just returned for F2 after missing its first two matches, had 13 excellent digs.
The Cargo Movers recovered from a 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, 24-26 setback to Choco Mucho five days ago and moved to 1-2.
The Lady Troopers failed to bounce back from a 20-25, 22-25, 22-25 loss to Akari last Saturday and dropped to 0-3.
“A win is a win pero iyong pinakita sa loob medyo tight pa, medyo pigil pa iyong galaw and marami pa ring lapses. Hindi ko masasabi kung ilan pero marami. Nagkataon lang Army ang nakalaban but we’ll take the win to boost the team’s confidence,” Cargo Movers coach Benson Bocboc said.
“Aside from that, we’ll have to work more and harder for the next games,” he added.
Skipper Jovelyn Gonzaga scored seven markers and 11 excellent digs for Army, while Royse Tubino had six markers.
Reinforcement Laura Condotta and setter Ivy Perez finished with five kills for the Lady Troopers.
