THE Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum will have for its special guest the newest toast of Philippine sports in Carlo Biado, fresh from his triumphant campaign in the US Open Pool Championship in Atlantic City.
The former caddie turned pool hero will talk and look back on his journey in becoming the first Filipino to win the US Open after the legendary Efren “Bata” Reyes last won the crown in 1994.
Biado, 37, a two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalists, rallied to defeat Aloysius Yapp of Singapore in the final 13-8 and win the $50,000 prize money.
Billiards Sports Confederation of the Philippines (BSCP) Secretary-General Robert Mananquil will join Biado in the weekly online Forum presented by San Miguel Corp., Milo, Amelie Hotel Manila, Braska Restaurant, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
