WITH the eliminations set to wind up, Letran and Mapua seek big wins against separate foes today in the 98th NCAA juniors’ basketball tournament at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Gym.
The Red Robins collide with the EAC Brigadiers at 7:30 a.m., kicking off a five-game bill.
La Salle Green Hills and Jose Rizal University clash at 9:30 p.m. while the San Beda University Red Cubs and Arellano University Braves duel at 11:30 to complete the morning games.
The Squires and the Red Robins are on top with identical 5-1 marks.
Last Monday, Mapua survived a scare from Arellano University, scoring a 70-68 victory.
Nygel Gonzales, Sean Salvador, Joaquin Coronel, Noel Agenmenyo, and Lance Magsilat are expected to spearhead the Robins’ attack.
EAC will draw strength from Jafet Villanueva, Lance Dungo, Mark Mariquit, Janray Castillo and Stephen Tecson.
The Golden Staglets battle the Junior Altas at 2:30 p.m. while the Squires take on the Junior Pirates at 4:30.
Letran bounced back from its first loss last week and ripped the Light Bombers 94-76 two days ago.
