KIEFER Ravena has until next year to return to the PBA. Otherwise, he will have to wait until 2026.
The NLEX star guard signed a new three-year contract with Shiga in the Japan B. League last Monday and now faces the possibility of returning to the PBA — if he still intends to — in four years.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial cleared the air and said Ravena could still come back but it must be in September next year.
“May policy na tayo ‘di ba? Two (years) plus three iyon. September 2021 siya nagpadala ng letter so kung two years, September 2023,” Marcial told Malaya-Business Insight yesterday.
“Puwede siyang bumalik hanggang September 2023 but after September 2023 at hindi pa siya makabalik sa PBA, makakalaro lang siya after three years, 2026 na iyon,” Marcial added.
