THE stars didn’t just align for Thirdy Ravena in his first season as an Asian import in the Japan B. League.
Although cleared to play after suffering a sore left knee injury, Ravena watched forlornly on the bench yesterday as San-En NeoPhoenix absorbed a heartbreaking 75-80 loss to the Shinshu Brave Warriors at the Kotobuki Arena Chikuma.
With its sixth straight defeat, San-En NeoPhoenix failed to redeem itself from a 75-80 setback at the hands of SeaHorses Mikawa last Sunday.
San-En NeoPhoenix finished the season with a dismal 12-47 card. Ravena also sat out the squad’s last two games.
He averaged 9.1 points on 36-percent shooting, on top of 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 22.8 minutes of play in 18 games, including 14 matches as a starter.
To say it was a forgettable stint is an understatement.
