Chooks keeps an eye out on the future

TO sustain its efforts of supporting grassroots 3×3 basketball, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas backed the Department of Education’s Palarong Pambansa 3×3 tournament.

A test run for the Palarong Pambansa’s 3×3 tourney was held last week in Iriga City, Camarines Sur with the Chooks-to-Go Regional Association of School Sports Events and other Activities Enthusiasts Inc. (RASSEAE) 3×3 Oragons Regional finals.

“Being a global partner for FIBA 3×3, we must also support the country’s grassroots 3×3 programs to teach the kids how the sport should be played,” Chooks-to-Go President Ronald Mascariñas said

“This will just be the start of our partnership with the DepEd as we are looking to support and help organize the Palarong Pambansa’s 3×3 tournament moving forward,” he added.

Chooks-to-Go RASSEAE tournament manager Joel Arroyo echoed Mascariñas’ sentiments, saying: “Ito po iyong springboard ng pagbabalik po ng sports dito sa Region V.

Experimental pa rin po ito for the New Normal.”

“Kaya nagpapasalamat kami sa tulong ng Chooks-to-Go dahil wala pa po ngayon iyong special education fund kung saan namin kinukuha ang funds para sa sports competitions.”

In the open category, Camarines Norte National High School carved out a thrilling 21-16 win over Viga Rural Development High School.

Through Chooks-to-Go, the CNNHS quartet of Franco Mase, Kervy Orijola, Mark Joshua Esteban, and Ismael Manaog took home P15,000 and Chooks-to-Go gift certificates.

Orijola also bagged the tournament MVP award and extra 10 Chooks-to-Go gift certificates.

Viga’s Aaron Usero, Aldren Vicente, Julios Gabriel, and Oscar Beltran won P5,000-plus Chooks-to-Go gift certificates.
