Bullpups eye twice-to-beat

WHILE the Final Four cast is set, reigning two-time champion Nazareth School of National University is raring to realize a coveted goal against Far Eastern University-Diliman.

“Importante sa amin ang laro na iyan since malaking bagay ang twice-to-beat, lalo na dikitan iyong mga nasa itaas,” Bullpups coach Kevin De Castro said. “Gagawin namin ang lahat para makuha iyon.”

NSNU takes on FEU-D today for one of the top two slots in the semifinals of the 85th UAAP juniors’ basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

The match is set at 11 a.m. after Adamson High School, also with an 11-2 mark like the Bullpups and Baby Tamaraws, clashes with University of Santo Tomas in the curtain-raiser at 9 a.m.

Also-ran teams La Salle Zobel collides with Ateneo High School at 2 p.m. while University of the Philippines Integrated School faces University of the East at 4 p.m. as the eliminations wind up.

NSNU downed the Junior Archers 67-60 last Saturday.

The likes of Reinhard Jumamoy, Aga Clarito, Klein Tagotongan, and RJ Colonia are expected to show the way for the Bullpups.
