Jomari says he and Abby have discussed marriage

Actor-politician Jomari Yllana has not only gained a new direction as councilor of Parañaque but also maturity and wisdom, especially now that he and his first love, actress Abby Viduya, has found each other again after many years.

Since rekindling his relationship with the actress, Jomari said: “Maraming naituwid na tama sa buhay ko. Isa siya sa nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa akin.”

Jomari was a part of the phenomenal ‘90s group “Guwapings” with Mark Anthony Fernandez and Eric Fructuso when he and Abby first became a couple. Many years later, he considers her not only his girlfriend but also his lucky charm.

“Si Abby napakaespesyal niya sa akin. Ang ending, kami rin pala,” he marveled during a recent Zoom press con.

“Si Abby very supportive sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. Lucky charm ko siya. Malaking pasalamat ko sa kanya, sa support, sa mga ginagawa ko, lalo na sa public service,” added Jomari, who is running for reelection next year.

Jomari admitted that he and Abby have discussed marriage and even want to have kids of their own. Both Jomari and Abby have kids from past relationships.

“Napapag-usapan din namin ‘yan paminsan minsan. Hindi na kami bumabata,” Jomari admitted.

“Gusto namin kids. Gusto naming magka baby pa, hindi lang namin alam kung kaya pa ng mga katawan namin.”

Abby, for her part, is all out in her support for Jomari. “If he needs anything, nandito lang ako for him kung ano ang kailangan niya. Mostly napu-provide ko sa kanya ay inspiration.

It goes both ways, pareho kami, inspiration ko rin siya. Together we make each other stronger. We can face anything. Ganu’n ang love namin for each other. Mutual respect and understanding.

Abby will soon be seen in GMA’s upcoming series, “Lolong.” Jomari, although admitting to missing showbiz, said public service requires his concentration and commitment, so had to pass up showbiz projects. “Nandiyan ‘yung mga offer na magaganda, sa ‘Probinsyano,’ naka-meeting ko pa sila Dondon Monteverde and Direk Erik Matti, maganda ang ibinibigay nila sa aking role. Pero dapat talaga, 100% ang trabaho mo kapag nasa posisyon ka,” he said.

Jomari said he was not too keen on being a politician, until he was prodded by his mother to enter politics, like his brothers Anjo and Ryan.

He was the first independent candidate who won in the city of Paranaque. When he assumed office on his first year as councilor, he was named minority floor leader.

Jomari finished Development Legislation Enhancement Course Center for Local and Regional Governance and Introduction to Excellence in Local Legislation Center for Local and Regional Governance at the University of the Philippines’ National College of Public Administration and Governance.
