Aljur Abrenica came out with an explosive post on his social media Tuesday.
In a lengthy post on Facebook, he asked his estranged wife, actress Kylie Padilla, to set the record straight.
“Don’t hide and disguise your comments, statement for your self gain. Tell them who cheated first,” he implored her. “Tell them who wrecked our family. Tell them why I gave up on you, not on our family.”
Netizens have been bombarding the actor with negative comments following the admission of newcomer AJ Raval early this month that she and Aljur are in the getting-to-know-each-other stage.
Meanwhile, Kylie did not answer Aljur’s post directly. Instead, she wrote “Pass the divorce bill” on Twitter the same night that Aljur’s statement was posted. On Instagram, she re-posted a quote from Rhianna, “Never underestimate a man’s ability to make you feel guilty for his mistakes.” Of course, these were generally interpreted as a jab on Aljur and their relationship.
News that they were on the rocks started spreading in the last quarter of 2020 with Kylie posting vague tweets on her social media account.
“I don’t wish for you to agree with me i wish you would listen and we could communicate things in a healthy way. Then come to some sort of resolve. that’s healthy human interaction. If we could learn emotional intelligence then there won’t have to be so much toxic space between us,” she wrote in November 2020.
Fans also noted that there had not been any of the two’s usual sweet posts since October 2020. In June, in an interview with showbiz vlogger Ogie Diaz, Kylie’s dad, Robin Padilla revealed that his daughter and Abrenica had hit a rough patch but he hoped they could still work things out.
Early this month, newcomer AJ Raval, daughter of Jeric Raval, admitted that Aljur was courting her. Sweet photos of AJ and Aljur began circulating on social media. Kylie spoke up and addressed the issue on her social media, saying that she and Aljur have separated and are free to date other people.
Kylie and Aljur were wed in Rizal on December 11, 2018. They have two sons: Alas Joaquin, born on August 4, 2017 and Axl Romeo, born December 2019. They would have celebrated their tenth anniversary as a couple this month.
