KATE Valdez was signed up by GMA in 2015 and quickly cast as the sister of Ken Chan in the hit afternoon drama, “Destiny Rose.” She also played supporting roles in “Onanay,” “Encantadia,” “Anak ni Waray” and “Sahaya.”
She is now launched to solo stardom in her own TV series, “Unica Hija,” which is described as drama-sci fi since Kate plays a character who is the result of cloning. How does she feel about doing a lead role this time?
Very challenging ang project as I play dual roles. One is Bianca and the other is Hope. But that is all I can share at the moment para hindi spoiler.”
Supporting her are Katrina Halili, Mark Herras, Kelvin Miranda, Buboy Garovillo, Faith Da Silva, Maricar de Mesa, Bernard Palanca, Athena Madrid (sister of Ruru), Biboy Ramirez, Maybelyn de la Cruz, Issa Litton, Jennie Gabriel and Jemwell Ventenilla, with QC Councilor Alfred Vargas in a very special role. This is directed by Mark de la Cruz.

‘But I hope na sana, isama niya sa pagiging buo ng buhay niya ang panganay niyang anak na si Andre at pati mga iba pa niyang anak. — Aiko Melendez’

Aiko Melendez was last seen in “Prima Donnas 2” where her character had to be replaced by Sheryl Cruz since she got busy with the election campaign.
Now that she has won as councilor of Quezon City, she returns to acting in “Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters.”
She’s glad that she plays the role of the eldest sister, Lily.
“I’m an original Regal Baby of Mother Lily,” she says. “This is our homage to her.
She has no problem acting and serving as councilor at the same time. “It’s just a matter of time management.
But when I saw the trailer of ‘The Flower Sisters,’ I felt so happy and I have no regrets that I accepted doing this series. I feel I’m making a comeback in acting with a big bang.”
Her ex-hubby Jomari Yllana sent a message to his current partner Abby Viduya when they celebrated their anniversary last week. He said: “My first and last, my love and my life.
Everything makes sense since you came back. Happy anniversary.” What can Aiko say about this?
But sana, magkaroon siya ng time not only with Andre but pati sa ibang mga anak niya.”

Vince Rillon usually ends up being killed in his recent movies like “Virgin Forest,” “Kaliwaan” and “Resbak.” So he considers his new movie, “Tubero,” as something different.
What does he think of people who resort to offering sexual service in their jobs?
Considering he has now done plenty of sexy bed scenes, he must now be a veteran and it’s now so easy for him.
How is it working with Angela Morena in “Tubero”? She can read me at nilalaro namin ang characters namin. There are times kinikilig ako sa kanya at feeling ko, nai-in love ako sa kanya as Gimo. Makikita nyo yung naiibang interaction namin sa movie.”
Don’t miss “Tubero” when it starts streaming on Vivamax on Friday, October 21.
