Mayweather says no more rematch with Manny

‘Floyd said he is all about entertainment now and talked about releasing a behind-the-scene documentary next year that will be an intensive and in-depth look at his career.’

What a surprise world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather in person turned out to be.

Outside of the ring, the world boxing champ is soft-spoken, debonair, and seemed approachable.

In town for his endorsement of Frontrow, the 45-year-old expressed his appreciation for Filipinos and had nothing but praise for our boxing champ, Sen. Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather and Pacquiao went mano a mano in May 2015, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Nevada.

Mayweather described Pacquiao as an “unbelievable athlete with such great achievements.”

“I’m very, very proud of Manny and I’m sure the Philippines, too. He’s a great guy. Manny is such a legend. He’s such a great fighter,” he added.

There won’t be another bout against the Filipino “Pambansang Kamao” though. Floyd said he is all about entertainment now and talked about releasing a behind-the-scene documentary next year that will be an intensive and in-depth look at his career.

“I had a huge deal with one company and all behind the scenes from my life starting 1996 until I turned pro, the public will have a chance to see everything,” he said.

Floyd is also one with Frontrow founders RS Francisco Rep. Sam Verzosa in their campaign to give back to those who are in need.

“If I’m able to help Frontrow and Frontrow was able to help me, people from all walks of life need help,” he stated.

Last September 28, Floyd further solidified his partnership with Frontrow as he led the inauguration of the company’s new building along Quezon Avenue that has been officially called Mayweather Building and displays his handprint set in stone.

Sparkle star Kristoffer Martin admits he had put aside music for some time. But the actor-singer is set to return to the scene via his hotly-anticipated newest single “‘Di Ba?” which is now out.

His new song reveals his hopeless romantic side. Composed by Sir Nicholai Ramil Basilonia, “Di Ba?” is about a person who cannot accepts the breakup of his relationship and wants to believe he and his partner are merely on a cool-off.

Kristoffer feels overjoyed and shares the process of recording his single, “Natuwa ako habang nire-record namin siya. Iba ‘yung excitement and fulfilment.

For now, the 27-year-old is not planning to explore other genres yet. “Sa ganitong genre na may pagka-rock at pop, parang mas nahanap ko yung comfort zone ko into singing. Somewhere in between sa mga genres na ‘yun. Mas kaya ko siyang i-deliver, mas nararamdaman ko siyang kantahin. As much as possible, gusto ko lahat ng kanta ko is in Filipino talaga. Mas gusto ko ‘yung hindi ko lang basta kinakanta, kundi nadarama ko rin ‘yung bawat words.”

Kristoffer also expresses his love for his other passions, “First love ko talaga is singing kasi galing po ako sa singing contest, mahilig po talaga akong kumanta. Tapos binuksan ni Lord ‘yung door sa acting na minahal ko rin, in the process minahal ko talaga ng sobra. ‘Yung song writing, sumusundot-sundot kapag naramdaman then isusulat. So in a way balanse po silang tatlo.”

When it comes to the roles he wants to portray, “Gusto ko ‘yung mga role na na-cha-challenge ako at sinasabi kong ‘di ko kaya pero pag nagawa ko grabe ‘yung fulfilment.”

Kristoffer’s music video will be available online starting October 7 at 5 p.m. on GMA Music’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
