Faithful family man

IAN Veneracion has just finished an action mini-series now showing on Amazon Prime Video, “One Good Day” and also a new movie that is an official Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Nananahimik ang Gabi”, with Heaven Peralejo. And he will go on a concert tour for “Kilabotitos” in January with Ogie Alcasid in Europe and the Middle East.  There is an offer for a new soap but his impending tour abroad prevents him from accepting it.

But it takes a real man to stay faithful in your relationship with your wife and family — Ian Veneracion

IAN Veneracion

“Tama na muna ang teleserye kasi matakaw sa oras at wala ka nang ibang magagawa,” he says. “Mas gusto ko na gumawa ng movie. Like itong ‘Nananahimik ang Gabi,’ we shot it for one month, lock in bubble sa Tagaytay. After that, you can accept other assignments na, hindi ka nakatali like when you’re in a soap.”

He likes his role in “Nananahimik ang Gabi” as it’s not his usual good boy role.

“Gray ‘yung character ko rito as Chief, dark siya and not the usual black or white. Pulis siya na may pagka-corrupt. You’d see him talking to his wife on the phone na sabi niya, he’s in the middle of a police operation. But the truth is he’s in a mansion somewhere with a very young lover, Heaven as Me-Ann. What they think will be a peaceful night of love turns out to be a nightmare nang pasukin sila ng isang outsider played by Mon Confiado.”

Can he relate with his role as Chief?

“No, hindi ako ‘yun. Unang-una, hindi ako babaero. I’ve been married to my wife for 25 years and she knows I’m faithful to her and our three kids, Draco,Deidre and Duccio. Madaling mambabae, lalo’t andaming nagpaparamdam kahit alam nilang married ka na. But it takes a real man to stay faithful in your relationship with your wife and family.”

Ai Ai delas Alas is currently in town to tape for the start of the fifth season of “The Clash,” where she is one of the judges. She’ll tape for three days then return to the U.S. a week later to be with husband Gerald Sibayan. On December 1, she posted in her social media account photos of her renewal of marital vows with Gerald.

“Yes, sa lahat ng marriage ko, ito pa lang ang tumagal ng five years. Ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng asawa na talagang naging maayos ang buhay namin.”

Singer Miguel Vera is the father of her kids Niccolo and Sofia. Ai Ai has been estranged from him for 20 years now. Ai Ai says they’ve become good friends and sometime ago, she heard him sing and she was impressed.

“Aba, maganda pa rin ang boses ng lolo nyo,” she says. “Pareho kami ng manager nonog araw, but for some reason, never pa kaming nagkasama in a show together. So ayan, naisipan namin, bakit hindi tayo mag-concert dito sa America?”

So they’re now producing their own concert, titled “Ang Dating Kami,” and their two kids will be performing with them.

“Yes, may concert kami on January 21, Saturday. One day lang, pero two shows, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. This will be held at the Bristol Civic Auditorium in Bellflower, California near Long Beach. Yung mga tagaroon, puede na po kayong magpa-reserve ng tickets nyo ngayon.”

Ayanna Misola’s “Bugso” is Vivamax’ final offering for 2022.  Expect a lot of dramatic fireworks and sexual encounters with Ayanna figuring in a love triangle with Hershie de Leon and

Sid Lucero.

Ayanna plays Estella, an online call girl while Sid Lucero plays Dado, Estella’s lover who also serves as her partner in the sex videos her clients asks from her. Hershie De Leon is another call girl called Baby whom Estella and Dado rescue from an enraged customer. The couple welcomes her into their home, but Baby wrecks Estella and Dado’s relationship.

“It’s my first time to be paired with Sid Lucero and I was nervous noong una kasi akala ko suplado, but he turns out to be very approachable,” says Ayanna. “Nagulat lang ako sa bed scene namin kasi inutusan ako ni Direk Adolf Alix to remove his briefs. I thought may plaster siya, wala pala, so nakita ko ang lahat-lahat niya.”

“Bugso” streams on Vivamax on December 30.
