THE Vatican has designated Ozamiz Archbishop Martin Jumoad as apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Pagadian, following the death of Bishop Ronald Lunas.
The announcement was made by Msgr. Bernardino Pantin, secretary general In a of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
Lunas, 57, passed away last Tuesday at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City from complications of a recent heart bypass operation.
On January 6, the Rite of Acceptance of his remains is set to be held at the Pagadian Cathedral at 2 p.m.
A vigil and a series of funeral masses are, then, set to be held at the Pagadian Cathedral from January 6 to 10.
Lunas is set to be buried right beside the Pagadian Cathedral on January 11 after the 9:30 a.m. funeral mass. — Gerard Naval
