THE annual Walk for Life will be held on February 23 in Manila with thousands of faithful celebrating the gift of life.
In a social media post, the Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas (LAIKO) announced that the “Walk for Life 2025” will be held from Rizal Park to the Manila Cathedral.
“Let’s come together to celebrate the gift of life and bring the message of hope to the world,” said LAIKO.
“Let’s walk with purpose, stand for life, and be a beacon of hope,” it added.
The participants will assemble at 4 a.m. at Lawn C — the flower clock area of Rizal Park.
At 4:30 am, the two-kilometer walk will start from Maria Orosa St. on to General Luna St., Muralla St., and then to Sto. Tomas Ave.
Upon reaching Manila Cathedral, a short program will be held, capped by the Holy Mass with Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula as celebrator.
Last year, the Walk for Life was held from the Welcome Rotonda in Quezon City to the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Grandstand in Manila.
The “Walk for Life” is an annual event sponsored by LAIKO to reaffirm the commitment to uphold, promote, and defend the sacredness of life and the dignity of every person.
First held in 2017, it has since become a yearly event to defend the “culture of life” against the “culture of death.”
