A VINTAGE bomb was unearthed by construction workers on the Manila International Airport (MIA) Road, a thoroughfare going to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 yesterday.
Construction workers from the New NAIA Infra Corp. stopped their road widening operation after a vintage bomb used by the Americans during World War 2 was found.
Construction engineers sought the help of PNP Aviation Security Explosive experts and the Airport Police to secure the area.
The United States vintage bomb measured 54 inches long with a diameter of 63 inches.
The bomb was brought to the Airport headquarters on Airport Road in Pasay City for proper disposal. – Osias Osorio
