THE PNP-Aviation Security Group has arrested a man wanted for theft for more than 10 years at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Police said the man was flagged by immigration personnel after verification of a warrant of arrest issued in 2014, leading to his arrest upon his arrival at midnight last Sunday at NAIA Terminal 3 from Istanbul, Turkey. He was not identified.
The man is under the custody of the Pasay City Police Station for proper documentation and the continuation of legal proceedings tied to the decade-old theft case.
“The campaign against wanted persons is far from over; it’s only getting stronger. If we can arrest someone wanted for over ten years, expect even more,” Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy, Director of PNP Aviation Security Group, said. – Osias Osorio
