Dismissed Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) engineer Henry Alcantara claimed on Tuesday that former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and Ako Bicol party-list representative Zaldy Co received kickbacks from anomalous flood control projects in Bulacan.
Alcantara made the allegations during the fifth hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
Later in in his signed affidavit, Alcantara named several officials as alleged recipients of kickbacks, along with Revilla and Co including senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva; and Mitch Cajayon-Uy, and former DPWH undersecretary Robert Bernardo.
Alcantara clarified, however, that he did not transact directly with Revilla and that the kickbacks were coursed through Bernardo.
