THE Eastern Police District has reported a 50% drop in the crime rate from August 23–29 at Metro East.
Brig. Gen Aden Lagradante, EPD director, said that the decline was due to the effectiveness of EPD’s visibility-driven policing.
Key operational accomplishments that have contributed to this reduction were the Anti-illegal drugs campaign, with 20 operations conducted; 25 suspects arrested and 101.87 grams of shabu valued at P692,716 seized; the manhunt operations that resulted in the arrest of four Most Wanted Persons and 31 other wanted individuals.
The campaign against loose firearms resulted in the arrest of three individuals while anti-illegal gambling operations saw 15 individuals arrested and P2,620 in betting money seized. “Through continuous patrols, strategic deployment, and community engagement, we ensure that our personnel are always on the ground ready to protect, respond, and serve,” Lagradante said.
