Comelec to implement early voting hours during BSKE

SIMILAR to the May 2025 national and local polls, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is set to implement early voting hours for the vulnerable sector during the December 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

Under Resolution No. 11154, voting centers senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant women can start voting as early as 5 a.m. on December 1.

The casting of votes for the general population opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m.

The Comelec said the activity seeks to make the casting of votes easier for the vulnerable sector.

“In order to accommodate persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant women, the Commission implements the early voting hours during the 2025 BSKE nationwide for a smoother, safer, and more accessible voting experience to the vulnerable sectors,” it said.

Early voting hours for the elderly, PWDs and pregnant women was pilot tested in Naga City and Muntinlupa City during the 2023 barangay and youth polls.

It was implemented nationwide during the May 12 midterm elections.
