A MAGNITUDE 5.3 earthquake rocked Camarines Norte yesterday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 1:05 p.m. Its epicenter was some 17 km northeast of Tinaga Island in Vinzons town. It had a depth of one kilometer
Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity II in Quezon City.
Intensity V was reported in Mercedes and Jose Panganiban towns in Camarines Sur, Intensify IV in Daet town in Camarines Norte, and Guinayangan and Polillo towns in Quezon.
