Exciting highlights from Petron Motorsports Karting Championships

The recently concluded national karting series at Carmona racetrack delivered thrilling racing action over two intense days for Rounds 3 & 4 of the Petron Motorsports Karting Championships.

Among the standout performers were the drivers from DRIFT MOTOR Racing Team and Mercedes Young Driver Development Philippines, who celebrated victories in their respective categories.

Kidlat “The Lightning Racer” Delos Santos, a newcomer in the Cadet category, made a dazzling debut against 16 competitors. He showcased his potential with a strong performance, finishing 10th in Round 3 and climbing to 8th place in Round 4 in the Novice division.

Luca “The Great Wall” Rodrigo faced a setback when a flat tire hampered his progress during the finals of Round 3. Undeterred, Luca displayed impressive resilience, bouncing back to secure 11th place in Round 3 and improving to 7th place in Round 4 in the Novice division.

Tyler “The Quiet Dominator” Tuanqui encountered technical challenges but managed to demonstrate his racing prowess. He battled through difficulties to achieve 5th place in Round 3 and further improved to 4th place in Round 4 in the Novice division.

Klay “The Rising Star” Ng showed remarkable progress and competitive spirit throughout the championship. He impressed with a strong performance, securing 3rd place in Round 3 and elevating to 2nd place in Round 4 in the Novice division.

Luke “The Relentless” Morales faced adversity with engine performance issues but showcased unwavering determination. He secured 2nd place in Round 3 and fought hard to achieve 4th place in Round 4 in the Intermediate Junior division.

Yuan Gavin “The Conqueror” Bugayong dominated the MiniRok expert category with exceptional skill and consistency. He clinched the championship title in both Round 3 and Round 4, demonstrating his prowess on the track.

In an unexpected twist, Axel Nocom, a three-time MiniRok Karter of the Year, made a notable appearance in the Junior Rotax Max Challenge. Despite minimal preparation, Axel impressed by securing the 3rd runner-up position in Round 4.
