End-to-end travel mobile app launched at Philippine Travel Mart

A proudly Filipino owned end-to-end travel mobile app was unveiled at the recently concluded 33rd edition of the Philippine Travel Mart held last Friday at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.

Called the GUEST app, it aims at providing tourists seamless travel experience, while integrating partner local government units (LGUs), destinations, tour operators, merchants, and other tourism products and services into one unified platform that features multi-channel payment gateway and boasts of a fully digital operating dashboards that can provide real-time data analytics, promotions database repository and stringent security.

The GUEST App is a shared initiative of leading integrated marketing communications company, Positive Exposure, and its parent company Lordsbridge Resources Corporation, in partnership with the Philippine Tour Operators Association that brought to us the Philippine Travel Mart.

According to Positive Exposure President and CEO Marinel Barquin-Lee, the GUEST App is “anchored on the vision of President Bongbong Marcos Jr. and Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco to digitize the tourism industry.” She said, “it also reaffirms UNWTO Focus Strategy on Innovation, Education, Digital Transformation and Investments to anticipate, address and overcome the new challenges and trends of the sector.”

The travel mobile app features include end-to-end e-commerce in partnership with Maya and Security Bank:  booking for tour packages, hotel accommodation, transport services and top up or purchase of beep card, health and wellness, restaurant reservation, other recreations, cinemas, cultural shows, purchase of local artists creations, DigiPasalubong and Travel Tax Payments, while back-end services for LGUs and merchants include operating dashboards that provide management of promotions, member registration, inventory and other data sourcing services.

The GUEST App is inclusive, allowing LGUs and merchants to onboard without monetary counterpart of membership fees.
