Fresh off of the successful opening of the pioneer branch of Italian-American icon Olive Garden in the Philippines, Bistro Group of Companies has expanded the brand’s presence as the restaurant opens its second branch in the metro.

Greg Balogh, Darden Regional Operations director, attended the restaurant’s launch along with a team of trainers from the USA who helped prepare the local staff for the opening. “We are excited to open our 2nd branch in the Philippines in a span of 3 months, on the heels of the success of our maiden store at the Mall of Asia. We are very pleased about the enthusiastic welcome that Filipinos accorded Olive Garden and we look forward to expanding the brand in more locations soon,” Balogh said.

Famous for its Never-Ending garden-fresh salad, homemade soups, and fresh-baked, soft garlic breadsticks, Olive Garden is the largest American-Italian restaurant chain in the United States, where it operates more than 900 restaurants and employs more than 96,000 people.

For his part, The Bistro Group’s President Jean Paul Manuud, said “What we have with Darden Restaurants, Inc., the company behind Olive Garden, is a collaboration that’s been very positive from the start. We are happy to be working with them on building the brand and growing the business locally.” After Glorietta 3, The Bistro Group will open this year another Olive Garden branch.

Olive Garden’s menu offers classics like Chicken Alfredo, Lasagna, and Chicken Parmigiana, all prepared fresh with high quality ingredients. Other equally delicious dishes such as Tour of Italy with Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico and Fettucino Alfredo, the world famous Amazing Alfredos, and an Italian classic — Shrimp Scampi. In addition, the restaurant’s familiar style allows this to be the perfect place for families, groups of friends or colleagues, to enjoy a great meal and a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

A rustic stone passageway, that is inherent in all Olive Garden restaurants anywhere in the world, welcomes guests to the restaurant where the vibe is comfortable, fresh, cozy and modern with warm elements and olive green accents. The design of the interiors evoke the Italian countryside through earth tones and natural textures.
