Singson to bring Korean star Ma Dong-seok to Manila

Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson announced plans to bring international celebrity Ma Dong-seok to Manila.

With his breakout role in “Train to Busan” in 2016, Korean-American Ma Dong-seok has been busy with movie projects and is one of South Korea’s most popular actors. His visit is expected to excited and thrill Filipino fans who are eagerly anticipating morel Korean projects.

Singson, known for his roles in politics and business, said he invited Ma Dong-seok to explore Manila’s attractions, potentially leading to business partnerships in the future.

The former Governor met the Korean star during a recent visit to Korea. Singson along with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, met with several business associates and Korean superstars Ma Dong-seok, Lee Seung-gi and Nancy McDonie of Momoland.

Singson is in talks for the filming of “Vagabond 2″ featuring Lee Seung-gi in the Philippines.

The LCS Group, headed by Singson, also is also looking for several businesses to help provide better opportunities for Filipinos. A project that is underway is manpower exchange for cosmetics manufacturing. Singson and Pacquiao sat down with Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok to discuss their partnership. “Korean beauty products are very good and popular in the Philippines,” Singson said.

Singson has also worked with his business partners in Korea to help provide electric jeepneys in the Philippines. He offered to provide transport group members the e-jeepneys for half the price, zero interest and without downpayment.

Singson considers Korea as a perfect business partner for the Philippines, because of the two countries’ proximity and shared cultures.
