After ten years, the Sessionistas are back together.
Bringing an unforgettable night of friendship, love, and incredible music to the stage are Ice Seguerra, Duncan Ramos, Juris Fernandez, Princess Velasco, Kean Cipriano, and Sitti Navarro, who are reuniting to serenade their fans at The Theatre at Solaire on February 8 and April 4, the second night just announced last Wednesday by the show’s producer, Fire and Ice, to accommodate fans who missed out on the tickets to the first show.
Ice, who will also direct the concert, shares that “Love, Sessionistas” was born out of the group’s longing to reconnect. “Ang sarap lang talaga to be singing about love, friendship and all these amazing things, and nothing feels better than singing with your amazing friends — na nasa tono,” Ice says, summarizing the show’s overall vibe.
The Sessionistas’ journey began during their time together on the Sunday show “ASAP,” where they developed both their on-stage harmony and their deep, lasting friendships offstage. Ice said he and wife Liza Diño thought of making the Sessionistas show their first under their Fire and Ice production. But the pandemic had sidelined everyone’s plans. Now, they’ve grown both individually and as a collective, and this reunion is not only a celebration of their sound but also of their shared journey as friends and artists.
Nyoy said, “It’s going to be more organized, more prepared. We’re really trying to make a good show. So ‘yung alam na naming gawin, which is to complement each other, i ha-harness na lang namin.”
He explained the group’s unique energy: “We always inspire each other. There’s this weird, like, entity that we become kapag magkakasama kami. You have to see it. When we perform, we become something else.”
What truly sets the Sessionistas apart is the unique chemistry between the members. Their shared humor, respect for each other, and diverse musical backgrounds have created bonds that transcend the stage. As Princess shared, “Alam namin kung kailangan mo ng advice or comfort, or maramdaman lang na andiyan kami para sa’yo. These are friendships that I formed na lifelong na.”
Though they come from different musical styles, Duncan noted the one thing they all have in common: “Yung wit tsaka ‘yung humor sa relationship namin is sobrang present. We really come from different genres — so different personalities, different characters as one.”
Kean added, “Para kaming iba’t ibang mutants na pinagsama-sama. Very humbling yung experience sa Sessionistas kasi alam ko kapag sumasalang ako kasama ko sila, hindi siya tungkol sa’kin. It’s about the music, it’s about the message.”
The concert promises to be more than just a performance — it’s a celebration of the enduring bonds these artists have built over the years, both on and off the stage.
“Love, Sessionistas” is proudly presented by Fire and Ice Entertainment and produced by Fire and Ice LIVE, in partnership with Profero Aesthetics. The event is supported by The Platinum Karaoke, Katinko, and HG Studio.
