Two decades after she first competed in AGT’s first season, Sanchez, who is nine months pregnant, has finally taken the crown with a show-stopping, golden performance.
On the final episode that lit up the AGT stage, the 30-year-old Filipino-American delivered a stirring rendition of “Golden Hour” by JVKE, as aerial troupe Sirca Marea performed above her.
Host Terry Crews announced her as the winner during the live finale that aired September 25.
“I’m really emotional. This is amazing. Thank you so much,” Jessica said through tears, clutching her baby bump.
Jessica sang “Die With a Smile,” in the show’s final last Tuesday.
She takes home the $1 million prize and will headline a show in Las Vegas.
Freestyle rapper-comedian Chris Turner finished as runner-up.
