Electricity prices on the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) rose 3.4 percent in July to P3.99 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) from P3.86 in June, the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) said on Wednesday.
IEMOP said power supply tightened as several generating plants underwent both scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages during the month.
