The Philippines is hosting the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025, a prestigious competition that brings together the best young skilled professionals from across Southeast Asia. Commencing today, August 26, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and the Philippine Trade Training Center, the event features competitors from 11 ASEAN member states vying for medals in 32 different skill areas.
The 14th edition of the competition is designed to elevate the standards of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and strengthen regional collaboration. It is a powerful platform for inspiring the next generation of skilled workers and highlighting the critical role of vocational skills in driving economic development. This marks the second time the Philippines has had the honor of hosting this significant event.

In addition to the main competitions, WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 includes a series of engaging side events. These include a skills exhibition, cultural programs, and career guidance sessions aimed at connecting young people with promising career paths in the skilled trades. With the theme “ASEAN: Skilled for the Future,” the event underscores the importance of a highly trained workforce in meeting the demands of the modern economy. The closing ceremony is scheduled for August 30.
