The Pokémon Company announces the latest news for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 software title Pokémon Legends: Z-A, featuring the Mega Evolution of Victreebel—Mega Victreebel.
Mega Victreebel’s Transformation
Mega Evolution causes Victreebel’s body to swell dramatically, filled with acid ready to burst. Even the leaves atop its head grow larger. This massive Pokémon moves by flapping side leaves and bouncing its enlarged body, wrapping vines around its throat to contain the overflowing acid.

Unlike regular Victreebel, which waits passively for prey, Mega Victreebel actively hunts with aggressive tactics. Its massive body delivers devastatingly powerful tackles. The Mega Evolution energy produces overwhelming acid volumes that smell powerfully sweet—enough to make opponents dizzy—and can melt through concrete or steel.
Mega Victreebel waves its head leaves to waft the sweet scent toward opponents, immobilizing them for battle advantage. When opening its large mouth to unleash Sludge Bomb attacks, it resembles regular Victreebel in its deflated state.
