MAYNILAD sends MTPs, ENCHANTED KINGDOM for diversity, GBP pandemic response, PHARMA SERV Express helping vaxx program, ABO-PENARANDA journey, FEU-NRMFplan, DECATHLON Pasay at MOA, ASTRA Guild Ventures growth

Maynilad sends MTPs Engineers preparing one of four MTPs.

Maynilad Water Services Inc. is sending mobile water treatment plants to areas in Bohol and Cebu heavily affected by Typhoon Odette.

Maynilad’s MTP uses reverse osmosis and chlorination technology to remove bacteria and contaminants from any water source, such as rivers or floodwater. It can produce a total of 43,000 gallons of water per day–enough to meet the daily drinking requirements of more than 80,000 people.

The water company is also sending personnel to the affected provinces to operate the MTPs.

Maynilad Las donated P6.5 million cash aid for Typhoon Odette survivors through the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation and One Meralco Foundation, and also provided around 10,000 bottled water to the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Palawan and Surigao del Norte.

GBP andemic response

Global Business Power Corp. (GBP), through its subsidiaries Cebu Energy Development Corp. (CEDC) and Toledo Power Co. (TPC), has turned over a total of P20.6 million to Barangay Daanlungsod, Toledo City, Cebu in aid of its pandemic response and initiatives.
The remitted amount represents the Energy Regulations 1-94 (ER 1-94) fund share of the company’s host barangay from the electricity sales of its Cebu subsidiaries.

In accordance with the Department of Energy’s Department Circular No. 2020-04-0008, ER 1-94 funds can be utilized by host local government units to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 health emergency, anchored on the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. The said fund will then enable the barangay of Daanlungsod to mobilize their plan of action in battling the ongoing pandemic, such as the purchase of a multi-purpose van for the LGU’s disaster risk reduction management programs.

David-and-Goliath journey in law

Abo and Peñaranda law firm recently celebrated its third anniversary at the Okada Hotel.

FEU-NRMF plan

The Far Eastern University-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) Center in a statement announced that they plan to no longer renew the accreditation of the medical center with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Juan Enrique Reyes, FEU-NRMF chief operating officer said, “We must take action before we are forced to close due to financial difficulties. We will continue to serve PhilHealth members…(W)e will provide the patients with all the necessary forms so they can apply for reimbursement on their own.”

As a non-stock non-profit institution, the FEU-NRMF medical center has allocated two-thirds of their authorized beds to pay patients, and one-third of their beds to the less fortunate as they continue to remain steadfast in their commitment to providing world-class medical services to all Filipinos.

Reyes further said that In the meantime, they will continue to work with PhilHealth with the hopes of reaching an amicable settlement.

A sprint finish: DECATHLON Pasay opens in SM Mall of Asia
