AC Health bags  Service Excellence Company of the Year Award

AC Health was hailed as the Grand Winner of the Service Excellence Company of the Year Award for their contributions in healthcare, at the recently concluded 12th Asia CEO Awards, the largest business awards event in the Philippines and one of the largest business award events in the Asia Pacific region.

AC Health was chosen as the winner among 28 other companies in the Service Excellence Company of the Year category for their continued commitment to improve access to healthcare as evidenced by the group’s COVID-19 response initiatives.

To date, AC Health, together with Healthway, QualiMed and HealthNow, has set up mega- isolation facilities, COVID-19 testing labs, and has administered over 500,000 COVID-19 doses across 25 vaccination sites in key cities.

SM, GRI hold virtual Asean summit

SM Investments Corp.  (SM) is taking charge in enjoining business leaders across the Asean region to adopt sustainable business practices during the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)-SM ASEAN Sustainability E-Summit 2021 on October 21 and 22.

With the theme “Leaving No One Behind: Private Sector in Solidarity for Sustainable COVID-19 Recovery and Delivering the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals),” the two-day E-Summit will set the sustainability agenda and strategy for 2022 in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Property developers can no longer focus only on the physical space but should blend their developments with digital infrastructure, said Peter Maquera, senior vice president  for Globe Business, Enterprise Group, at the company’s Regional Insights and Strategies for Enterprises (R.I.S.E.) webinar on “Building a Digitally-Connected Future in Real Estate Today.”

Aside from basic connectivity, Globe is continuously building more use cases for 5G technology that can power the Internet of Things (IoT). 5G and IoT, when combined, can feed real-time insights from data gathered from different connected devices.

The technology can be useful in property management, such as managing the efficiency of heating and cooling equipment, providing intelligent security monitoring and emergency response for tenants online, billing and payments, repairs and maintenance, and even food delivery, groceries, and laundry.

Globe is building 2,000 new cell towers and laying down 1 million fiber to the home lines just for this year alone and continues to roll out 5G in more areas.

myTOYOTA Wallet launched

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and Toyota Financial Services Philippines (TFSPH) has launched the myTOYOTA Wallet, a new mobile payment solution that enhances Toyota customers’ experience.

First introduced in Japan in 2019 followed by Thailand in 2020, customers in the Philippines can now pay for their Toyota transactions using just one app, whether it’s for periodic maintenance, vehicle repair, parts and accessories purchases, and vehicle insurance payments.

With this digital payment platform’s global expansion, one can expect more features and expanded services beyond Toyota cars.

Registration for a myTOYOTA Wallet account is easy and simple. One  can easily link his selected credit and debit cards, and get as much as P 100,000 transaction limit per month.

Cargill, Save the Children tie up

On World Food Day, Cargill Philippines joined forces with Save the Children Philippines to launch a comprehensive program that will provide access to improved health and nutrition services, livelihood, and interventions to support the needs of thousands of Filipino children and their families, and the recovery of communities from socio-economic setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other natural disasters.

The partnership introduces three innovative projects to benefit children and communities in Batangas, Bulacan, and Cagayan Province in the next three years: The Household Economy and Nutrition Security or HENS Project will capacitate and scale up the livelihood of 300 backyard poultry farmers in Batangas and Bulacan; All Children SHINE (School Health and Integrated Nutrition Education) Project for some 5,000 children in 25 public schools in Santo Tomas, Batangas and; the Yellow Corn Project which is an inclusive business project that provides training on good agricultural practices, farming inputs and post-harvest support, while integrating farmers directly into the animal feed value chain.

BMW dealership breaks ground

LausGroup of Companies (LGC) together with SMC Asia Car Distributors recently broke ground the Premier Motorrad, the first standalone showroom and dealership of BMW Motorrad in Pampanga.

The first-ever showroom dedicated entirely for BMW Motorrad, Premier Motorrad’s riding gallery will feature 14 of the latest motorcycles from BMW Motorrad’s lineup–ranging from their Adventure, Sport, and Heritage lines. As the only authorized dealer of BMW Motorrad North of Metro Manila, the full-service facility will also come with six repair work bays, two hand-over areas, and will offer riding gear, riding equipment and Ride and Style merchandise.

Expected to open its doors by the first quarter of 2022, the Premier Motorrad’s site is within the same complex as LGC’s Premier Cars BMW Car Dealership on Jose Abad Santos avenue in San Fernando City. The dealership will cover a total land area of 679 square meters.

P&G PH wins award

Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines earns the highest award for the Gender-Inclusive Workplace Category in the prestigious United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (UN WEPs) Awards in the Philippines.

The recognition is given to Asia-Pacific businesses and corporations that have demonstrated exemplary adoption of  relevant gender inclusive measures in the workplace.

The company was recognized for its industry-leading policies, inclusive programs, and equitable practices under their We See Equal program.

One initiative, Share the Care, removes gender bias in a company-wide paid parental leave policy. It  provides a minimum of 8 weeks fully paid parental leave and offers all kinds of parents an equal opportunity to care for and bond with biological or adopted children new to their family.

CLICK inspires excellence

The Executive Course on Leadership, Innovation, Communication, and Knowledge Management (CLICK) initiative through a tripartite agreement between the Aboitiz Group, Development Academy of the Philippines-Graduate School of Public and Development Management , and the National Union of Career Executive Service Officers Inc. is now on its second year.

CLICK is a capacity-building course for career executive service officers and other third-level government officials.

The program equips senior government leaders with a comprehensive set of leadership and management skills to adapt with the evolving demands in the workplace. As they apply their learnings by developing sustainable work strategies, they become phronetic leaders who are proactive catalysts of positive change amid a dynamic and ever-evolving environment that has been made more volatile by the ongoing health crisis.

COMCO SE Asia anniversary 

COMCO Southeast Asia (SEA) culminated its Blazing Sapphire fifth anniversary celebration with the launch of  COMCO Middle East & Africa (MEA) and the unveiling of its 10-year masterplan that gave an overview of the continued growth and evolution of the trailblazing and award-winning communications agency.

COMCO SEA held a year-long five-part celebration which includes the virtual townhall and digital unveiling of COMCO SEA’s brand evolution, the inauguration of the Camp COMCO Alumni Society “Unity Games”, the “Write to Ignite Blogging Project Season 2: Dear Survivor” and Citizen COMCO’s “5 Gifts to the Community” launch via the Cause Marketing for Good initiative with World Vision. The last leg of the celebration is the Blazing Sapphire Main Event where several major initiatives were unveiled.
