SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet (SNAP-Benguet) on Friday filed a motion for reconsideration on the Regulatory Commission’s (ERC) decision to impose an administrative penalty against the company for alleged breach of allowable forced outages last March and April.
SNAP-Benguet paid the fine of P875,000 last week.
“The validity of the penalty, including some factual findings of the ERC, are part of the issues raised by SNAP-Benguet in our effort to seek a reconsideration of the ruling by the Honorable Commission,” said Mike Hosillos, SNAP-Benguet vice president for corporate affairs, in a statement.
SNAP-Benguet said its 105 megawatts Ambuklao hydroelectric power plant did not breach the maximum unplanned outage days allowed by the ERC.
