SP New Energy Corp. (SPNEC) said that Roxas and Co. chairman Pedro Roxas has resigned as an independent director of the company.
SPNEC said Roxas resigned citing “personal reasons.”
Roxas joined the board of SPNEC in late December, along with Manila Electric Co. chairman Manuel Pangilinan and Amanda Roselle Bengson, Meralco Power Gen senior vice president, when Pangilinan’s Meralco Group took a stake in the renewal energy firm of Leandro Leviste.
SPNEC said its board approved the filing of an application with the Philippine Stock Exchange to list 40.07 billion unlisted shares.
