P200M full service station with EV charging to rise in NCC

DOUBLE 11 Properties Corp. is investing P200 million for the construction of a full service station complete with charging terminals for electric vehicles (EVs) and a retail center in New Clark City.

Romeo Siccion, Double 11 president, and Joshua Bingcang,  Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president and chief executive officer on June 24 signed a contract for the long-term lease of a one-hectare property in New Clark City.

Double 11 will initially invest P100 million for the development of the facility, which will include charging terminals for EVs, a mixed-use commercial complex, and retail support businesses.

It will invest another P100 million for Phase 2 expansion covering another hectare. BCDA said the super station is expected to house over 20 retail stores and offices, serving an estimated 200,000 motorists annually, and creating about 500 jobs for the residents of Tarlac and nearby communities. It is also estimated to generate P100 million in revenues for the government.

Double 11 is a Filipino-owned corporation which built service stations in expressways. Its projects include Northwalk Clark in Pampanga, Caltex Station on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) southbound, Shell of Asia on NLEX Southbound, Northwalk 1 and 2 in San Fernando, Pampanga, and the PTT Station on Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
