Megaworld’s profit soars 23%to P12B in the first half of 2025

Megaworld Corp. said its net income in the first half of 2025 hit P12.09 billion, up 23 percent from P9.83 billion in the same period of 2024.

Revenues grew 10 percent to P43.09 billion in the first semester of 2025, from P39.17 billion in the same period of 2024.

The company, in a disclosure on Tuesday, August 5, said that all core businesses – residential, leasing, and hospitality – registered growth for the period.

“Our strong first-half results reaffirm the strength and adaptability of our township strategy. We are always focused on ensuring that our core segments will continue to deliver exceptional performance even in challenging environments,” Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, Megaworld chief executive officer (CEO) and president, said.

The company’s leasing business under the Megaworld Premier Offices posted a 17 percent increase in revenues to P7.40 billion from P6.32 billion last year, driven by the contribution of new assets and leases, as well as sustained rent escalations.

“Megaworld Premier Offices closed nearly 100,000 square meters (sq.m.) in new leases during the (second) quarter, driven by expansions from top-tier BPOs and multinational companies, including many Fortune 500 companies located in key townships. Amid industry-wide headwinds, Megaworld’s differentiated office footprint continued to outperform,” the company said.
