CEB receives 1st of 17 aircraft deliveries

Cebu Pacific has received its first Airbus 320ceo and expects 16 more aircraft deliveries this year.

The aircraft — an Airbus 320ceo — arrived on February 9 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila from Chengdu, China. It is the first of the expected 17 aircraft deliveries for CEB this year.

This year, CEB h as increased its capital expenditure by 19 percent to P50-billion as compared last year, the higher capex will finance the acquisition of new aircraft as it expects to achieve a fleet count of 92 by year-end.

On top of these aircraft, CEB is finalizing the acquisition of 100 to 150 new aircraft either with Boeing or Airbus by the first half of this year to support the company’s growth expansion in the next five to 10 years.

Early this month, the company started the operation of an A320ceo aircraft lease from Bulgaria Air for domestic routes to meet the increasing demand for air travel.

CEB currently flies to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
