Businessman Ambassador Francis Chua has expressed the important role of education in driving progress in the country.

“Education is the key to our future, empowering young minds to become leaders and innovators,” said Chua in his speech at the inauguration of the Ambassador Francis Chua Technology Wing at the Universidad de Manila (UDM) on May 2.
The inauguration also marked the unveiling of Chua’s bust at UDM university, to honor his contribution to the university.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress… With the new technology wing, students will have the necessary tools they need to thrive in this ever-changing world,” said Chua who sits in UDM’s Board of Regents.
The Technology Wing is equipped with modern computer laboratories and lecture rooms.
Chua is the Philippines’ ambassador to Peru, chairman emeritus of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce of the Philippines, honorary president of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and founder of the International Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
The ceremonies were attended by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto, UDM president Felma Carlos Tria among other guests.
