Galleria Nicolas for ManilArt 2021

Aquaria et Terraria by Jomike Tejido. A Vivid Symphony by Fitz Herrera. A Certain Solid Fragrance by Katrina Cuenca.

From individual narratives to global concerns, the artworks presented by Galleria Nicolas for ManilArt 2021 comment on contemporary culture and explore themes of nature and introspection in the digital age. The exhibitions are inspired by each artist’s sense of a growing global and universal melancholy as expressed through art. It is about each individual’s response to issues and even personal urgent calls to action. The exhibitions hope to engage in ongoing discussions, and find ways to remain inspired with what the audience know as beautiful, powerful, and even mysterious within the physical realm.

The exhibitions reflect a wide range of artistic expression. They range from lovely, graceful, and more colorful works to those that more profoundly explore the force and on a universal scale. The works featured provide perspectives and insight into the awareness of the vital systems around us. The artists’ hope is not to present the human mind as the center of all perception, but to combine the dynamics of human society with nonhuman ecologies, highlighting the infinite feedback systems that flow through the world.

The exhibitions of Galleria Nicolas will be on view at Booth A2 of ManilArt 2021, located at the 3rd Level of SMX Convention Center, SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig from October 13 — 17, 2021. Galleria Nicolas is located on the 3/F Art Space, Glorietta 4, Ayala Center, Makati City, and at the 2/F, Filipino Village, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Diosdado Macapagal Blvd, Parañaque.
